Neglecting even the most routine Ford maintenance issues can lead to poor fuel economy, unreliability, and Ford repair issues. Ford service schedules may vary slightly according to the model vehicle you are driving. For your convenience, we have outlined the basic recommended Ford maintenance intervals.
- Every 3,000 Miles- Change engine oil and filter; check tire pressure, exhaust system, lamps, radiator, heating system, air conditioner, and steering; and rotate tires (if necessary).
- 15,000 / 45,000 / 75,000 / 105,000 Miles- Change engine oil and filter; inspect brake system; inspect engine cooling system; lubricate all hinges and latches, door locks, and door weather strips; rotate tires (if required), change engine coolant (not at 15,000 miles); replace platinum-tipped spark plugs (at 105,000 miles); and inspect non-neoprene drive belt (at 105,000 miles).
- 30,000 / 60,000 / 90,000 / 120,000 Miles- Change engine oil and filter; inspect brake system; visually inspect battery and clean terminals; inspect engine cooling system; lubricate all hinges and latches, door locks, and door weather strips; perform automatic transmission/transaxle service; replace air cleaner filter; replace fuel filter; inspect and/or repack front wheel bearings; inspect clutch operation; rotate tires (if required); replace PCV valve (60,000 and 120,000 mile intervals); inspect evaporative fuel system; replace non-platinum tipped spark plugs; and inspect neoprene accessory drive belt (not required at 30,000 miles).
